To locate and trace various leaks and make suitable access so works can be achieved through solid timber floors, stud walls, solid concrete floors, brick or block walls, tiled walls, tiled floors and through ceilings be it lath & plaster or plasterboard.
To gain access and make a sufficient safe working area Dabney Plumbing Services have the means and suitable equipment and plant to trace, locate, detect and gain access to any problem area and work with a variety of materials to carefully and sympathetically achieve any necessary removal.
Examples of finished coverings are tiled walls, tiled floors be it porcelain or ceramic, lath & plaster ceilings (some decorative), plasterboard ceilings or finished wooden floors. All with the attention and the thought process that these areas would require replacing and matching in with the existing patterns on completion. After a successful trace of the problem has been completed, Dabney Plumbing Services are able to achieve access through floors, walls or ceilings to access pipe-work and make a sound solid repair to any sort of pipe-work material.
Examples of materials we can work with are: lead, copper, plastic, polybutylene above or below ground, internal or external. Any type of plumbing system from gravity fed to pressurised with water pumps, monsoon shower pumps, whole house pumps, unvented cylinders, mega flows, system boilers and combination boilers from domestic water systems to central heating works and commercial buildings. Once the problem area or leaks have been located and isolated then considerations are made to find the best solution to achieve a perfect finish.
To cut out any unwanted pipe-work and make necessary alterations to existing pipe-work so new thermostatic concealed, thermostatic exposed, manual or electric shower valves can be plumbed in and most importantly set in with the correct distances with the thought process to the final wall finish.
Water supplies can now be reinstated and the products fully commissioned and pressure tested for a minimum of 24 hours with pipe-work left exposed. Walls can now be prepared with PVA and repaired with a suitable plaster + any brickwork or blockwork added if required using a strong sand and cement mixture to provide a sound flat surface ready for tiling. Tiling can be and will be completed to a very high standard to suit any existing tile pattern to detract from the eye any obvious tile line or join. In many instances existing tiles are discontinued so to achieve a suitable finish a different colour or size of tile can be used to form a contrast.
